Called to It

Called to it,
I have followed its tune
for over forty years.
From time to time
I have contemplated
its meaning,
even the reality of it;
to be compelled
in the prime of life
and sent down a path
not chosen as if
chosen for it before
the journey began.
Does it matter,
this calling?
Is it significant,
this preaching?
this gospel preaching?
I wonder?
I wonder!

It is significant, indeed. A wonderful example of this is the inspired sermon delivered by Darrel this evening in response to your preaching this morning.

Your personal journey a faith-sharpening tool for all who genuinely “have ears to hear.”
