Being creative and resourceful can go a long way in today’s economy, and it’s always great to discover resources that are available to us. One resource that’s rapidly gaining attention is the Angel Food Ministries, and Christ Church is one of the area host sites.
Unlike food pantries Angel Food is open to anyone, regardless of income level, providing foods at substantially reduced prices. Please take a few minutes to browse the entire menu for May. Just CLICK HERE and scroll down to view the menu.
As an outreach to our community, we ask Christ Church members to think about friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. who might benefit from Angel Food, and tell them about this ministry. They may call Barbara Frazier at for additional information.
Orders for May 2010 will be accepted Sunday, April 25 or May 2, and will be accepted through 12 noon Friday, May 7 at the office. Just get an order form from Cindy Williams or Barbara, or pick one up in the Fellowship Hall. If you are unable to order on either Sunday, please bring your order to the church office. If no one is in the office, you may leave your check and order form in the mailbox right outside the office. Please DO NOT LEAVE cash in the mailbox. Blank order forms are also available in the mailbox.
Food ordered for May will be available for pick up on Saturday, May 22, from 8:45 until 9:15 a.m. Because much of the food comes in frozen, we must have a short pick up time to ensure that nothing thaws out. If for any reason you are unable to pick up your order, please try to have someone else pick it up for you. If no one can pick it up, it is imperative that you call Barbara by 9 a.m. on pick up day, and she will attempt to make it fit in the church refrigerator/freezer.
