Founded in 1977, the church changed its name to Christ Church on League Line Road, effective April 30, 2003. The name change better reflects who the church is “a people rather than a place.”
The focus of Christ Church is to live attentively and responsibly before the Sovereign God, to glorify Him and enjoy Him as we journey in His presence.
Sunday School classes for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m. The Morning Worship service begins at 10:30, and is followed by a time of fellowship with coffee and cookies. The First Sunday fellowship includes a ‘potluck’ lunch for all.
A nursery is available for infants and toddlers, and children through grade four may attend Children’s Church if their parents choose. Home group bible study and fellowship is held in various homes on some Sundays and Wednesdays.

Pastor Dan Schiel
Born and raised in Montgomery County, Texas, Dan was called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at age 20 and has served as pastor in independent churches for the past forty years. At age 48, he resigned his pastorate in Midland, TX where he had served for nine years to move to Point Roberts, WA to attend Regent College, a seminary in Vancouver, B.C. Canada where he earned a Master’s degree in 1997. In November of that year, he and his wife Grace Ellen returned to Conroe, TX to assume the pastorate of Christ Church on League Line Road, a church he had founded twenty years earlier. His focus in ministry is to help his congregation to live contemplatively, paying attention to God at work in their lives, and to live in response to Him.
